Y1 - 2023 N1 - T2 - CURRENT Diagnosis & Treatment Pediatric Neurology AB - Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvasive method used to directly measure and localize brain activity. Since the first MEG signal was recorded by Bruce Cohen in 1968 using a single sensor, the technique has evolved to include whole-head arrays with over 300 sensors. This allows for greater detection and localization of brain activity due to an improved signal-to-noise ratio and established MEG as a clinically useful technique. As a result, there are now more than 25 MEG centers in the United States alone, with an estimated 750 MEG scans performed in 2016.1 SN - PB - McGraw Hill Education CY - New York, NY Y2 - 2024/04/18 UR - neurology.mhmedical.com/content.aspx?aid=1195237201 ER -
